Our Mission

Texas Progress Council, Inc. is a Texas non-profit corporation that will conduct and coordinate public policy research, encourage and support cooperation among various individuals and organizations on public policy issues, and promote citizen involvement on public policy issues, including promotion of free, open and responsive government at all levels.

Staff

Glenn Smith, Consulting Manager

Glenn is the author of The Politics of Deceit: Saving Freedom and Democracy from Extinction, former campaign manager and former journalist, has two decades of experience in the state and national political arenas.

Sandra Haverlah, Executive Director

Sandie has served as media and political consultant to businesses and other organizations, and most recently served as executive director of the Texas League of Conservation Voters. Prior to that, Haverlah directed research, media and government affairs operations for a variety of clients with legislative interests.
